What they leave with
- A one-page map of who is who — their worker, the agency, the Authority, and New Steps
- A written, dated countdown to turning 18
- A real request for their own file, drafted and sent in the session
- A card showing the complaint staircase, step by step
- The advocate and peer-network numbers, in their phone
How it connects
Modules are built to stack. Where one has already taught a skill, the next one recalls it rather than teaching it again.
Is this a fit for someone you work with?
A caseworker reaches out, we book a tour, and we work out together whether New Steps is the right place. When a room is open, a referral can come together in about a week. When we are full, we will say so. New Steps is not an emergency placement service — we do not take same-day or overnight placements.
