This website is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards, as well as the requirements of the Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA).
Accessibility Features
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. A visible focus indicator shows your current position.
- Skip Navigation:A “Skip to Main Content” link appears on focus at the top of every page.
- Screen Reader Support: Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and proper heading hierarchy ensure compatibility with screen readers.
- Colour Contrast: All text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text).
- Reduced Motion:Animations are disabled when users have “prefers-reduced-motion” enabled in their system settings.
- Responsive Design: The site is fully functional across all screen sizes and devices.
- Alt Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text.
- Form Accessibility: All form inputs have associated labels, clear error messages, and logical tab order.
